Cambridge Stage Magician at Opening of Milton Road Library

As we approach Christmas, I will be working as a Cambridge Stage Magician. Devious Minds is set to tour again this autumn. We are proud to be joining the “The Library Presents” an initiative by Cambridge County Council to bring different forms of art to Libraries throughout the region.

On the 28th of September, Milton Road Library was officially opened after being demolished and rebuilt. I was asked to provide close up magic during the celebration to publicise the new tour.

Cllr Gerri Bird, the Cambridge Mayor, was present for the unveiling of the new plaque.

This was a fun job, with many great characters and a wide range of ages. The new library is very spacious and boasts excellent facilities. It has a modern look. There is also a large painting of the old library for those who feel nostalgic.

The show itself will include some close up magic projected onto a screen as well as stage magic and illusions. So it was great to do walkabout magic and meet people who are interested in what we do.

This is not the only thing to be demolished in the area since my childhood. The Milton Road Junior School, which I attended for five years has also been relocated, and what used to be a primary school, with the hustle and bustle of young lives is now a block of flats and a residential home.

The Devious Mind tour dates are

Cambourne Library on the 16th of October and Milton Road Library on the 26th of October. We are also at Wisbech Library on the 22nd of November.

Devious Minds is a magic and mentalism show ideal for all over the age of seven. Cambridge Stage Magician, Tj, has been touring with the show, throughout the UK, over the last eight years.

If you are holding an event this autumn and are looking at entertainment in Cambridge, why not consider hiring a magician.
