Suffolk Close Up Magician Tj Shoesmith at Bruisyard Hall
I have worked as a Suffolk magician on a number of occasions. Including Norwich Football Club and two new year’s eves at the Crown and Castle in Woodbridge. I also lectured for the Three Triangles Magic Club in Thorington.
On this occasion, I was invited to perform close-up magic at a birthday party at the quite magnificent Bruisyard Hall.
The hall is a 14th-century manor house set in rural Suffolk. It is available for weddings, parties and business meetings. With twelve bedrooms, it is ideal for small gatherings where guests can stay for a few days and explore the facilities and countryside.
Although the main house is clearly visible from the road, there is a long driveway up to the car park. I arrived in the early evening to start performing magic at around nine and the house looks beautiful in the dusk.
The buildings are set in seven hundred acres or countryside. It includes a fishing lake, fields and walkways. The house itself boasts a snooker room, attic bar, disco and card tables.
Guests were in high spirits. They arrived on Friday and were staying until the Monday morning. This meant they all knew each other well and were very relaxed. There are several rooms on the ground floor, including the billiard room, and guests were scattered among them.
I met some wonderful people who made me feel very at home and enjoyed moving between the groups. Table magic is ideal for such situations and I finished just in time to hear guests singing happy birthday.
I can highly recommend the Hall and grounds. It is spacious and very well kept which outstanding facilities and very friendly staff.
