Phyllis Court Magician TJ Shoesmith

This summer, I was asked to perform as a Phyllis Court Magician in Henley on Thames. This was the first time I had been to this establishment, although I have worked as a Buckinghamshire Magician many times in the past.

I performed close up magic during the meal, with a short cabaret to finish. This corporate event was for a company which comprised of some thirty people from all departments.

It was a lovely summers evening. The venue is quite sublime, with many lovely touches. The grounds are vast. It lies on the bank of the River Thames where boat races take place. It is a prime spot to watch the Henley Regatta.

Phyliss Court Magician performs for regular client

I had worked as a professional magician for this client many years ago and it was nice to see old friends again as well as make new ones. The Court has many function rooms which are ideal for corporate magic. This room looked out onto the terrace and the weather was kind enough to have the windows open.

It is easier to work as a table magician moving through a banquet hall than to keep coming back to the same table time after time. However, the rewards are there if you succeed. It is always nice to finish with a few stage tricks which involve the whole audience. It makes a fitting climax to the evening.
