Derbyshire Wedding Magician at Chatsworth House

Derbyshire wedding magician at Chatsworth House

Tj Shoesmith was hired as a Derbyshire Wedding Magician to perform at this wonderful venue in the autumn of 2015. Chatsworth House set aside the Cavendish Rooms for this wonderful event.

Home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, this is a family house and enterprise. It contains a fantastic collection of art spanning centuries. There are many great rooms, and it hosts many events.

In the autumn of 2015, the bride and groom asked me to perform at this wonderful venue.

When I arrived, the public still milled around the cafés and displays in the central courtyard. However, when I left several hours later, the hustle and bustle had gone, and the wedding guests had the place to themselves.

Above is a picture of the courtyard, in the early evening. Some members of the public are still around and the wedding ceremony was still going on.

I have visited Derby and Sheffield many times but had never performed at such a salubrious venue. The grounds are magnificent and ideal for these sorts of family events.

The staff were also accommodating and the room was spacious so getting between tables was easier than normal. A treat for any seasoned close up magician.

Derbyshire Wedding Magician returns

Many years ago, I worked at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield, performing in weekly rep. So it was wonderful to return as a Derbyshire Magician to work in the area.

On this occasions, there were a couple of magicians in the party, who knew a fair few things about the art of magic. This is always fun. The children were also great, very responsive and enthusiastic.

I regularly work up and down the country so if you are looking for a professional to perform Close-Up Magic (otherwise known as Table Magic) or perform as a Theatrical Pickpocket.
