Gloucester Stage Magician performs with Devious Minds

In 2012 I worked as a Gloucester stage magician as part of the magic and mentalist show Devious Minds. We were booked by a rural touring company called Air in G. I performed my comedy cabaret magic in the first half and Dean would close with an inexplicable mentalist show in the second half. By this stage, we had about fifty shows behind us. We were beginning to get very slick. The reviews were good and we looked forward to 7 nights in Gloucester.

We visited Bidbury, Didmarton, Sheepscombe, Rodmarton, Soudley, Westcote, finishing our run in Painswick. The tour took place in the winter of 2012 and spring of 2013. As always the welcome we received from the Gloucester folk was tremendous.

This was not the only time I have worked as a Gloucester Stage Magician. Indeed, very early in my career, I performed at the Royal Agricultural College for a gentleman called Myles. In fact, this lead to a number of jobs for his firm. I also performed at his daughter’s wedding at the same venue.

Around the same time, I performed at the Bell in Sapperton. This was a Christmas event and the following year I was rebooked for an event at the Wild Duck in Ewen.

I have family in Cheltenham so it is always good to perform in the area. I also remember a couple of comedy magic nights in pubs around the county. Any excuse to go west.

Devious Minds is still available. Dean and I have been doing other things for the last few years but we did meet up again last year to perform a show in Cambridgeshire.
