TJ Charity Event Magician performs at HAC
This week I worked as a Charity Event Magician at London’s HAC. The Guest of Honour was Ann Widdecombe MP, who was delightful and turned out to be a great lover of magic. I have noticed that she has been photographed and quoted by several magicians.
The Venue
The HAC (Honourable Artillery Company) London holds a rich legacy as one of the oldest military organizations, dating back over 500 years. Functioning as both a ceremonial unit and a modern reserve regiment, it resides at its historic Armoury House near Moorgate. The HAC encompasses a diverse array of roles, from providing artillery support to ceremonial duties during state occasions. It maintains strong ties with the City of London and engages in community outreach.
The Long Room at the HAC London is an emblem of history and prestige. This stately chamber within the Armoury House is adorned with artifacts, uniforms, and portraits that tell the story of the Honourable Artillery Company’s enduring legacy. It serves as a tangible link between the past and the present, honouring tradition.
Working as a Charity Event Magician
It was a fabulous night with far more than magic crammed in. A live band, a charity auction and a tribute to Shirley Bassey were all beautifully executed.
I worked through the meal, performing close up magic for the guests. These events are my favourite to work at as a magician in London or the UK as they are always well received.
The Armoury House retains several 18th Century Features, including the Royal Coat of Arms. The armour in the photograph below is said to have belonged to Henry the Eighth. Perhaps he wasn’t as portly as films portray him to be.
I spend much of my time in the capital performing at private and corporate events for clients who like magic. This is the fourth time I have worked for this booker as a close up magician and cabaret performer.
