New Year’s Eve Magician at Wentbridge Hotel

I have spent the last two working as a New Year’s Eve Magician near Harrogate. Close-up magic is so easy at this incredible and luxurious hotel. It is a reasonably straightforward run from home, straight up the A1. The hotel is about a mile from one of the junctions.

Wentbridge House is a luxury four-star Hotel set on twenty acres of Yorkshire countryside. It has won many awards and offers large comfortable bedrooms, good food and beautiful gardens.

The events had many guests, and with 41 bedrooms, many stayed for the night. There are a few dining areas, some large, some small. I moved between rooms performing magic and talking to the guests. As one would expect, guests were in high spirits. There was also a mix of people—different ages, couples and families.

As usual, I drove home with fireworks going off all around me. Although one does not want to be away from family at such a time, I enjoy the drive back. It is not such a wrong way to end a year!

Last week I was invited back to the hotel’s wedding fayre after performing as a New Years Eve Magician. They invite companies who have worked for them over the previous year to offer their services to those considering the hotel as their venue for the wedding.

Many incredible suppliers where there. Some of which I had met during the events I had attended and others that were new to me.

This was a very friendly and fun experience. Thank you to all those who stopped and said hello. Watched a trick or took a card.

I must admit performing as a wedding magician is my favourite type of work. I love the family occasion and enjoy getting both young and old involved.
