Hitchin Magician at the Novotel Hotel
This week I performed as a Hitchin Magician at the Novotel Hotel in Knebworth. I performed Close Up Magic during the meal followed by a short cabaret during coffee. This is a good combination. In fact, it works very well as you can get to know guest during the meal. This makes the cabaret easier to start and therefore a lot more fun.
This format has become very popular in the last few years. Possibly because my cabaret credits have improved with visits to the Magic Castle in Hollywood and Comedy Clubs up and down the country.
This particular evening was in aid of the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre Appeal. The Lister hospital has provided great service to us as all our children were born there. So it was a privilege to support the hospital and the charity.
Hitchin Magician Feedback
“Thank you ever so much for giving your time to entertain us so well last evening. Your tricks went down very well. The audience was amazed. The Club is now able to make a gift of over £500 to the Lister Macmillan cancer centre appeal which we might be able to augment a little from other resources”

It is difficult to help charities while maintaining a career as a professional magician. Events are often organised for Friday and Saturday nights which are important to fill with paid engagements. On this occasion, it took place on a Monday and the organiser’s partner was the midwife to our first child. So how could I turn it down? In fact, I had met her a few years after my daughter’s birth. This happened quite by chance while performing for another client.
I have performed many times as a Hertfordshire Magician with events at The Grove, The Remix in Hitchin and Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club to name but a few. I have also performed as a wedding magician at Hatfield House.
Do contact us if you have an event in Hertfordshire and you are looking for a magician. We are always happy to talk about your event; just go to our booking page for details. There are also videos and testimonials available on the homepage.
