Kings Lynn Magician at the Pearl River
This has been an exciting week as a Kings Lynn Magician. A performance at the Magic Circle on Tuesday! Thursday, I was in Arnold lecturing for the Nottingham Guild of Magicians; it is always fun getting together and following performers. I don’t lecture as much as I used to but I still enjoy it.
The Venue
On Friday and Saturday I was in Kings Lynn Norfolk celebrating Chinese New Year by performing close up and cabaret magic at the Pearl River Restaurant.
Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar. Celebrated with vibrant parades, dragon dances, fireworks, and feasts, it symbolizes renewal and prosperity. Each year is associated with an animal from the Chinese zodiac, creating a unique cultural spectacle.
The Pearl River Restaurant in King’s Lynn is a renowned Chinese eatery, celebrated for its delectable cuisine and elegant ambiance. Serving a wide array of authentic Chinese dishes, it offers a diverse menu with favourites like sweet and sour chicken and Peking duck. A local gem, it combines excellent service and flavourful food, making it a top dining choice in King’s Lynn.
This took place in 2008, the year of the Rat, apparently I am an Ox! This was a lovely venue with friendly staff and great food and although not entirely suitable for Cabaret, as pillars made it difficult for some to see, it was well received.
