West Bromwich Magician – For MSC
I was asked to perform as a West Bromwich magician at the football ground in a very interesting project.
“Thanks again for your wonderful performance.”
Nadine (Marketing Communications)
The marketing department of MSC, an engineering manufacturing company, approached me with an exciting idea this summer. They were putting together a programme to launch their new catalogue and encourage their staff to embrace change and transformation.
We agreed that magic was a good metaphor for such a presentation, and they sent me a script to work with. With their thoughts in mind, I set about designing tricks which would fit with their narrative.
“Your performance, professionalism and preparation for our catalogue launch was exceptional. The feedback from the business has been fantastic and you certainly got the room feeling inspired.”
Douglas (Marketing Manager)
Although not easy it was soon clear that many of the tricks I have come across during my career lent themselves to the ideas that the company wanted to convey. Over a period of time I was able to film effects while using an auto cue so that the company’s representatives could decide if they were appropriate.
The company had complete control and rejected some of my ideas while keeping others. Within a few weeks, we agreed on the format of the presentation. At this point, I learned the script and rehearsed the tricks to make it slick for the conference.
I have presented for many companies, including Audi, HSBC, Toyota, and Sainsbury, to name a few. Sometimes as a corporate magician and sometimes as a presenter. So this was a familiar experience, but the layering of magic on the message was certainly more detailed than before.
On the day, it worked well. Performing at the famous ground as a West Bromwich magician was a real thrill. Delegates gained a lot from it, and the company was happy that the message they aimed to impart was clear.
At the end of the event I performed my comedy cabaret to finish the evening, which is pictured above, which went down very well.
Tj is an experienced magician who has performed on many occasions in the county. The Hyatt and NEC in Birmingham, Oakham School in Rutland and the Four Seasons in Coventry to name a few.
